Why should you join Demolition Lacrosse Club?
DLC was founded on the principle of providing quality lacrosse programming at an affordable price.
DLC is a 501 (c) non-profit organization where club members only pay for the cost incurred to run the program.
Our goal is to deliver a positive lacrosse experience for all players and member families.
We will provide age appropriate teams and training to help players achieve their lacrosse goals and foster the love of the game of lacrosse.
The founding members and coaches have over 100 years of combined lacrosse experience as players, coaches, and parents.
Where will practices be held?
Practices will be held at Westwood High School in Washington Township.
What is the summer tournament schedule?
Please see tentative tournaments schedule as it becomes available.
All teams will participate in 4 tournaments.
3 of 4 tournaments will be one day events within easy driving distance as to not require hotel stays.
One possible overnight designation event at Hershey Park.
What is the summer tournament schedule?
Club membership fee will not exceed $750 per player with a family discount of $100 for each additional family club member.
Expectations?
By committing to Demolition Lacrosse Club, you are expected to be fully committed to the club and practices and tournaments. Your DLC schedule and commitment take priority over any other off season’s sports schedules.
Players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments.
Players are expected to show up and put forth their maximum effort with the goal of being better than the day before.
Team members and families will be required to perform community service to benefit the local community as determined by the DLC board of directors.
DLC puts an emphasis on academic success. Club members are required to maintain a C average. Members falling below a C average in any academic subject will be required to receive and provide proof of tutoring to maintain membership.
All players and board members are required to have valid US lacrosse membership to participate.
Teams and Roster Size
We are looking to field the following graduation years - 2024, 2025, 2026, 2027, 2028/29/30
All teams will be made up of 16-20 players.
If necessary, we will mix graduation years to meet the minimum roster size.
All members will be notified of this decision to make a final decision if they would still like to participate.
If a minimum roster size of 16 cannot be met, we will not have a team entered in a summer tournament schedule.
Who will be coaching my son?
All coaches have multiple years of high school and/or rec lacrosse coaching experience.
Some coaches have sons involved in the program. However, no coach will be responsible for their sons’ teams.
How will I know if I made the team?
All players will be notified via email with 2 weeks of final tryout.
Refunds?
Refunds will only be provided in the case of not being able to field an age appropriate team.
